cannellini beans with tomato and sage
I fed my family crap tonight (frozen fries! bison hot dogs!) so I tempered it by opening a can of cannellini beans. I looked at the beans, swimming in their little cannellini liquid and thought: I have no idea what to do with these.
The Internet helped me out. Funny, I googled cannellini beans, food blog, and an Irish food blog called Italian Foodie came up – one I had referenced before because of the blogger’s account of a lunch at Ballymaloe. Even the Internet is a small world.

And while it is +32 degrees here today, I made this on top of the stove with the fan going full blast. This is a civilized and easy side dish and will make you into a better mom. Honest.
