chocolate chunkers

April 6, 2009

chocolatechunkersIf you have been reading this blog the past couple of weeks, it appears as if we have been eating only cookies, cakes and tarts.

Guess what’s on the menu today?  More cookies!

(I have actually been sick with strep and/or uninspired – hence the parade of meals like:  war wonton soup from Lemongrass, Tokyo Express sushi, linguine carbonara, chicken sandwiches, etc).

But Ella is keeping us flush with sweets.  These chocolate chunkers are from Dorie Greenspan’s blog, who is a blogger who writes for Bon Appetit and lives part-time in Paris.  Gee, that seems like a sweet gig -where do I sign up?

These cookies are really great.  They are like chunks of chocolate cookie dough with lots of good stuff inside – Ella filled them with raisins and chocolate chips.  They are soft, but then crunchy with fillings…almost like a brownie cookie.  Bravo again, Ella…

Here’s the recipe.
