bee bell birthday cake

March 29, 2009

We settled on a Bee Bell Bakery birthday cake for Aaron’s party today.  It was vastly superior to any grocery store cake I’ve had.  It was a combination of vanilla, chocolate and strawberry filling with icing on top that managed to avoid being too-cloyingly sweet.

The Bee Bell folks kindly wrote on the top, and I pimped up the cake by adding the only Bolt figurines I could find – some Bolt magnets from the Disney Store.

They usually have cakes in stock in the display case, but I’d suggest calling for a custom cake a few days before…just to be sure.

Thanks for your birthday cake advice!

yes…. it was quite tasty, considering it wasn’t homemade. i am currently in the process of making the homemade one for tomorrow (Aaron’s actual Birthday).

We JUST watched Bolt yesterday. Fun movie, I can see why your little guy would want it for his cake.

Glad you found a place to get your cake.

Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry go so well together and the cake looks great. Do you think someone could add some banana to that combo and get a ‘banana split’ flavor?
