back from the land of food and coffee

March 9, 2009

blueribbon1small2I have many tales to tell of Seattle, including our market tour, cooking class and the most amazing meal I have ever eaten – at Tavolata.  The recommendation for Tavolata came from Jamie, via comments on this very blog.

My daughter said – who is this Jamie?  And I’m like – I dunno, but Jamie knows Seattle, and we should listen to the Jamie.

This was in between bites of the most amazing pork cheek gnocchi.  Thanks to everybody for their wise recommendations.

Seattle was great.  More to come.

It is fun to have almost-grown up kids. That seems like a long time away when you have a newborn, but at the risk of sounding like a grandma-type, the years really do slip by fast…

Someone wise said that in raising kids: the minutes tick by slowly, but the years whiz by fast.
