friday evening guacamole

June 28, 2008

We have a nice little tradition on Fridays of beverages and snacks on the deck after work.  I put out a bowl of peanuts, and something dead-easy, like hummus and pita, or nachos and guacamole.

On top is the first tomato from our little container herb garden.  It was so delightful to go and cut off my own tomato from my own little plant.  And yes, it tasted about 15 times better than any tomato I’ve bought from the grocery store.

Guacamole
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 lime, squeezed
1 baby tomato, chopped
2 ripe avocados

Put everything in a little serving bowl.  Squish vigorously with a fork.  Eat with nacho chips.
