happy canada day
July 1, 2008
And we did what every good Canadian should do on Canada Day: We went for dim sum.
We managed to eat $75 of stickie rice, shrimp dumplings, spring rolls and pork buns. Dim sum is one activity that everybody loves – it is a hit for kids aged 5 to 15.
Our favourite place is the New Tan Tan restaurant, beside the Hardware Grill downtown. The owner there is a parent from our kids’ school. She lets us jump the queue if there is a line-up. It is sweet to have connections.
Some highlights:

The buns we could not eat. Burp.

I’m praying for good behaviour from my kids. Also, for more sticky rice.

Isaac, age almost-15. Clearly full of pride to be seen out in public with his family.
